I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist specializing in individual, couple, child, and family psychotherapy, offering services at two locations one in Upland, the other in Claremont, California.
With many years experience as a licensed clinician specializing in depression, anxiety, stress, lonliness,sadness, communication, self-esteem, adoption adjustments, and ADHD. I am a private practitioner working with a broad spectrum of clients. Among my areas of expertise are international adoption, gay/lesbian issues, premarital counseling, marriage counseling, relationships, and helping step / blended families.
I am an accepting, interactive, solution-focused therapist. My treatment approach is to provide support and practical feedback to help clients resolve current problems and long-standing patterns affecting their lives and relationships. I incorporate a blend of conventional and alternative approaches, drawing upon a variety of styles and techniques to provide what will be most helpful to each client. With sensitivity and compassion, I work with each client to help them build on their strengths and to identify and achieve thier life goals.
I received my Masters of Science in Marriage and Family Therapy from The University of La Verne in 2003 and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of La Verne in 1994.
Throughout my formalized training and 3 year internship, prior to licensure, I enjoyed working with individuals, families, children, and adolescents at a community agency and in a school setting. In addition, I have experience counseling the severly mentally ill and their families at a partial hospitalization Program and Outpatient Clinic.
