About Me

I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist specializing in individual, couple, child, and family psychotherapy, maintaining a private practice in Upland, California.

With over four years experience as a licensed clinician specializing in depression, anxiety,  self-esteem, adoption adjustments, and ADHD. I am currently in private practitioner working with a broad spectrum of clients. Among my  areas of expertise are international adoption, gay/lesbian issues, premarital counseling, marriage counseling, relationships, and helping step / blended families.

I  am a practical, interactive, solution-focused therapist. My  treatment approach is to provide support and practical feedback to help clients resolve current problems and long-standing patterns affecting their lives and relationships. I incorporates a blend of conventional and alternative approaches, drawing upon a variety of styles and techniques to incorporate what will be most helpful for each client. With sensitivity and compassion, I  work with each client to help them build on their strengths and to identify and achieve life goals.

Education

I received my Masters of Science in Marriage and Family Therapy from The University of La Verne in 2003 and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of La Verne in 1994.

Additional Training

Throughout my formalized training and 3 year internship, prior to licensure, I enjoyed working with individuals, families, children, and adolescents at a community agency and in a school setting. In addition, I have experience counseling the severly mentally ill and their families at a partial hospitalization Program and Outpatient Clinic.
